If you intend on seeing numerous regions of Scotland, a 3 day chauffeur driven tour is the ideal way to discover some beautiful attractions within our country. Although a personalised 3 day tour may be your choice, we at Charlton Chauffeur Drive have compiled suggestions that may assist when deciding on what famous attractions you may want to include.
Day 1: You will be met by your chauffeur on arrival at Glasgow Airport, and your tour begins by heading for the Highlands. En-route you will pass the historic site of the Battle of Bannockburn, Stirling Castle and the Wallace National Monument. Morning coffee at the world-famous Gleneagles Hotel offers a delightful break, or you may prefer to take in a round of golf. Heading north again, we pass through the Sma' Glen and Aberfeldy, then to Pitlochry and some shopping among the Angora and Cashmere of the town's renowned woollen mills Then we continue on to Blair Atholl with its grand castle and private army of Atholl Highlanders, past the famous Leap of Killiecrankie and on to Blairgowrie.
Overnight: Ballathie House Hotel, Kinclaven.
Day 2: Begins with a leisurely drive north over the Bridge of Cally through Glenshee and on to Royal Deeside. A visit to Balmoral Castle could be arranged (providing the Royal Family is not at home!) followed by Crathie Kirk. There is a huge variety of things to see and do here. Discuss with your chauffeur whether you'd prefer a distillery visit at Glenlivet or Dufftown, a spot of fishing, or simply take in the breathtaking scenery.
Overnight: Balgonie Country House, Ballater.
Day 3: From Ballater you go on to the "Granite City" of Aberdeen, then begin the return journey down Scotland's east coast, through the fishing villages of Montrose and Arbroath and on to St. Andrews. Here you may like to explore the Museum of Golf, the town's ruined abbey and castle, or lust stroll along the beach. From St Andrew's you may want to visit Kellie Castle before passing through the tiny, picturesque coastal villages of the East Neuk of Fife then cross the Forth Road Bridge to Edinburgh. You may wish to explore the capital with a brief sightseeing tour or a visit to the famous Rosslyn Chapel before taking leave of your chauffeur, or continue directly on to Glasgow. Whatever your wish, your chauffeur will be happy to oblige.
