1 Day Tour | 3 Day Tour | 5 Day Tour | 7 Day Tour | 10 Day Tour | Back

A 5 day chauffeur driven tour of Scotland is an ideal way to enjoy the many attractions of our beautiful country. This tour gives you the opportunity to travel all round Scotland and take in some of the most breathtaking views anywhere in the world. Here are some suggestions of how your 5 day tour in Scotland could be spent.

Day 1: You will be met by your chauffeur at Glasgow Airport, and head towards the "Bonnie banks" of Loch Lomond. The drive along the lochshore is stunning as you continue towards Inveraray with its famous castle, home of the Duke of Argyll. From there visit Oban or Glencoe, site of the infamous massacre of 1692, and home of some of Scotland's grandest mountain scenery.

Overnight: Inverlochy Castle, Fort William.

Day 2: Takes you to the Isle of Skye via the Mallaig ferry. You might wish to enjoy lunch at the Gaelic speaking and award-winning Hotel Filean larmain before visiting Talisker Distillery for a chance to see and sample its distinctive malt whisky. If time allows, you could visit mighty Dunvegan Castle before retiring to your hotel.

Overnight: Kinloch Lodge, Isle of Skye.

Day 3: Return to the mainland via the Skye Bridge and an area of outstanding history and beauty. A leisurely drive along Loch Ness will allow you to indulge in a spot of monster hunting! From there, a trip to the Battlefield of Culloden, where Bonnie Prince Charlie was finally defeated, is a must - as is 14th century Cawdor Castle, a name you may remember from your Shakespeare.

Overnight: Culloden House Hotel, Inverness.

Day 4: From Inverness you turn south through charming Grantown-on-Spey, then over one of the highest passes in Scotland. You descend from Tomintoul and Cock Bridge towards Royal Deeside and Balmoral Castle, the Royal Family’s Scottish home. Braemar, Glenshee and Blairgowrie bring you to your hotel.

Overnight: Ballathie House Hotel, Kinclaven.

Day 5: Continuing south you pass Loch Tay and on to Callander, where you may enjoy a visit to Kilmahog Woollen Mill, famous for its hand-woven blankets and tweed. From Callander you return to Glasgow through the beautiful Trossachs area, perhaps taking in a short city tour or some last-minute shopping before you return to Glasgow Airport for your onward journey.
